D-Log M
Also known as: DJI D-Log M, DLog M
DJI's Log color profile for its compact drones and Osmo cameras. It records flat 10-bit footage with extra dynamic range for grading in post.

What it means
D-Log M is a Log profile DJI developed for its compact cameras and drones, including the Mini 4 Pro, Air 3, Osmo Action 4 and Osmo Pocket 3, and later models in those lines. It is a lighter variant of D-Log, the profile used on DJI's higher-end cameras, designed to keep extra dynamic range while being easier to grade.
Straight out of the camera the footage looks pale and low in contrast. It is recorded in 10-bit color, which leaves enough tonal steps to bring back contrast and saturation without banding in skies and gradients.
How it works in practice
In the DJI Fly app, D-Log M is chosen in the color settings of the camera menu, next to Normal and HLG; Osmo cameras offer it in their own color menu. DJI publishes an official conversion LUT that maps D-Log M to standard Rec.709 color, which is the usual first step in DaVinci Resolve, Premiere Pro or Final Cut.
Many pilots expose D-Log M slightly brighter than a normal profile would suggest, keeping the histogram away from the left edge, then bring it down in the grade. Pair it with an ND filter so you can hold a natural shutter speed in daylight without overexposing the sky.
What to watch out for
Check the minimum ISO your model allows in D-Log M, since it can be higher than in Normal mode, which means reaching for stronger ND in bright sun. In low light the flat curve exposes noise once shadows are lifted, so Normal color often gives cleaner night clips.
Do not forget to convert it. Posting or sharing D-Log M directly gives grey, lifeless footage, and some apps apply an automatic look that clips the very highlights you shot Log to protect. Also keep D-Log M and HLG apart: HLG is meant to be watched as HDR, while D-Log M is meant to be graded first.
How RawClip handles it
RawClip does not apply LUTs or color grades, so D-Log M clips would come out flat. Convert them with DJI's LUT or your own grade and export MP4 or MOV before upload, or record in Normal color. RawClip accepts DJI drone and Osmo footage alongside other brands in one order.
