Yes. If your order is under 1h of footage, processing starts right away, free. You get a watermarked 480p demo of the finished highlight; pay only if you love it, and the full-quality 4K and 1080p versions unlock instantly. Longer orders are paid before processing starts, never before you have seen the price for your footage: after your upload or, for a Google Drive link, after we have checked it or downloaded it.
No. You upload your raw wakeboarding footage and RawClip's AI builds the highlight for you — selecting the best moments, adding music and transitions.
Any action camera or drone, GoPro, DJI, Insta360 and Sony, and phones too, in 1080p, 4K or higher.
MP4, MOV, AVI, MKV and M4V, including HEVC/H.265, from action cameras, drones and phones: GoPro, DJI, Insta360, Sony, iPhone or Android, in 1080p, 4K or 5.3K at up to 120 fps. Other files, such as photos and the proxy files cameras save next to each video (.LRV, .THM, .LRF), are left out; export Insta360 .insv files to MP4 first. A highlight has one frame rate: if you mix clips shot at different frame rates, the whole highlight uses the lowest frame rate among the clips that make it into the cut, and never more than 60 fps. For a smooth 60 fps highlight, shoot everything at 60 fps or more.
Yes. Instead of uploading from your computer, paste a link to a Google Drive folder or to a single video. In Google Drive, set General access to “Anyone with the link” first. Subfolders are included, up to 1,000 videos per link. We pick up MP4, MOV, AVI, MKV and M4V files and skip everything else, such as photos, documents and camera proxy files (.LRV, .THM); you see which files were skipped and why. If Google reports a length for every video and they add up to under 1h, the download starts on its own, free. If Google has not measured some of them yet, the download starts free only when the lengths it reports add up to under 1h and the whole selection is 43 GB or smaller. We then measure the real length: under 1h you get the free demo; at 1h or more you pay after the download, or remove videos to get back under 1h. Otherwise there is no free demo: before anything is downloaded you see the videos we found, their total length (estimated from the file size for videos Google has not measured) and the price, you can uncheck the ones you don't need, and you pay before the download. One order takes either a link or an upload from your computer, not both.

It follows your footage. If every clip is vertical, the highlight is vertical; if every clip is horizontal, it is horizontal. A highlight has one frame shape, so mixed footage becomes horizontal: horizontal clips keep their full width and detail, and vertical clips play in the middle of the frame with black bars on the sides. Nothing is cropped. Your phone sets a clip's orientation the moment you press record, so if it was lying flat or pointing at the ground or the sky, a vertical clip can be saved as horizontal and turn the whole highlight horizontal. For a vertical highlight, upload only vertical clips and hold the phone upright for a second before you start recording.
It depends on how much footage you upload and how busy the queue is, so we do not promise a fixed time. You can close the page — we email you the download link as soon as the highlight is done.
Yes. Your files are stored on our own dedicated server — not in third-party cloud storage — and each order sits in its own isolated directory. Your raw footage is kept for 3 days after the highlight is ready, so you can re-cut it with another length or soundtrack, and is then deleted automatically, free demo orders included. The finished highlight is auto-deleted 14 days after it is ready. You keep your originals.
Yes. For 3 days after your highlight is ready you can re-cut it with another length or switch the background music on or off: the first 3 re-cuts are free, each one after that is $2.90, and a re-cut that fails is not counted. We rebuild it from the moments we already found, with no new upload, and the new version replaces the old one under the same links.
