Me Mode
Also known as: Insta360 Me Mode, third-person 360 mode
An Insta360 shooting mode that uses a 360 camera on a selfie stick to output a flat, third-person view of you, as if someone were filming you.

What it means
Me Mode builds on the idea of the invisible selfie stick. You hold a 360 camera on a stick in front of or beside you, and instead of saving a full sphere for later reframing, the camera frames you automatically and records a flat video that looks like a third-person shot.
The appeal is speed. Classic 360 workflows need time in the app to choose angles, while Me Mode gives a usable clip straight away, with the stick hidden by the stitching and you centered in the frame. It suits vlogging, walking tours and riding shots where you want to appear in the footage.
How it works in practice
Hold the stick so the camera sits at the distance and height you want the viewer to see you from, often slightly above eye level and an arm or a long stick away. Keep the stick in line with the camera body so it stays in the hidden zone between the lenses.
Exported files are flat MP4s, which makes them easy to share or mix with other footage. Because the view is decided in the camera, you lose the freedom to reframe later, so for important shots some people still record full 360 and choose the angle afterwards in Insta360 Studio.
What to watch out for
The effect breaks if the stick is bent, angled or thicker near the camera, since part of it then falls outside the blind spot and appears in frame. Use a straight stick designed for 360 cameras and avoid holding it at odd angles during tricks.
Fast motion and a long stick also bring safety risks on busy trails and slopes, where other people may not see a thin pole sticking out. Keep the stick short in crowds, and remember that the stitch line can still show when hands or objects pass close to the sides of the camera.
How RawClip handles it
Me Mode clips are already flat MP4 files, so you can upload them to RawClip directly, together with your other cameras. The AI picks the best moments from all of them for one highlight.
