Crash compilation
Also known as: fail compilation, slam reel
An edit built entirely from crashes, which follows almost the opposite rules to a highlight because the payoff is the failure itself.

What it means
A highlight shows what worked; a crash reel shows what did not. The same card produces both, and the second is frequently the more watchable of the two. Failure is legible in a way a clean run is not.
The structure is different. There is no build toward a single Climax, because every clip is its own small peak and the edit is a sequence of them.
The clips are also shorter. A Wipeout reads in a moment, and anything after the impact is recovery that nobody needs to see. The useful part of the clip is shorter than the clip itself.
How it works in practice
Impact is the cut point. A clip starts close to the mistake and ends on the landing, and everything before the approach is Dead time however interesting it was to ride.
Sound carries more than picture. An Impact hit on the moment of contact and a brief silence after it do more than any visual treatment. A reel with weak audio is only a list of accidents.
Rhythm has to be deliberate. Identical timing between every crash becomes monotonous fast, so varying the gap is what keeps a Supercut of them watchable past a minute.
What to watch out for
Consent is the first question, not a detail. Footage of somebody else being hurt belongs to them as much as to the camera, and publishing it without asking is how friendships end.
Genuine injury changes the register entirely. A clip that was funny on the day stops being funny on a screen, and the honest answer is to leave it out.
Automatic selection reads crashes as strong action, because they are. Shot scoring ranks a slam highly whether it belongs in the edit or not, so exclusion is a human call rather than something the ranking can make.
How RawClip handles it
Crashes score well during analysis, since they are high-motion moments with a clear peak, and they are included alongside the clean riding by default. Where a session is meant to produce a crash reel rather than a highlight, saying so in the brief is what changes the selection.
