Watermark on repost
Also known as: platform watermark, logo burn-in
The logo a platform burns into a video when it is saved from the app, which marks the file as having come from somewhere else.

What it means
The watermark is deliberate. A platform adds its own badge to anything downloaded through the app precisely so that the file advertises where it came from when it appears elsewhere.
Receiving platforms treat it as a signal. A video carrying a competitor logo is recognised as recycled material, and the reach it gets afterwards reflects that rather than the quality of the footage in it.
It is the visible half of a bigger problem. The badge is obvious and the Re-upload quality loss underneath it does more actual damage to how the video looks.
How it works in practice
Keeping the original export removes the question. A finished file saved locally can be published anywhere at all unbranded, where a download from an app never can be.
Exporting before posting is the habit. The file from Rendering and export goes out to each platform directly, which is the whole point of treating a finished sequence as a file rather than as a post.
Some platforms offer a clean save for the author. A download from the editing side rather than from the feed is frequently unbranded, and it is worth finding before anything gets reposted anywhere.
What to watch out for
Cropping it out makes everything worse. Removing the corner means losing part of the frame and then scaling what is left, which adds a generation of Platform recompression damage in order to hide a logo.
Automated reposting carries it everywhere. A tool that mirrors posts between platforms is usually downloading and re-uploading, so every copy it produces is both branded and recompressed on the way through.
It affects credibility more than reach in some places. A badged clip sitting in a Demo reel reads as borrowed material to anybody watching, whatever the truth about who actually filmed it.
How RawClip handles it
A delivered result is a file rather than a post, so it carries no platform branding and can be published anywhere as the original. Saving a copy from a feed and reposting it is the one route that introduces a watermark.
