Demo reel
Also known as: sponsor reel, sizzle reel, showreel
A short edit made to get something: a sponsorship, a place on a team or a job, built from the strongest material a rider has.

What it means
A demo reel has an audience of one. A sponsor, a team manager or a coach who will watch the opening and decide whether to watch the rest. Nothing about it is made for a feed.
That changes every rule. There is no building toward a Climax, because the best clip goes first and the reel is ordered descending from there until it runs out of material worth showing.
Length is brutal. Sixty to ninety seconds is the usual honest limit, and anything beyond it is being skipped rather than watched. The second minute is a courtesy.
How it works in practice
Variety matters more than volume. Five different features, locations or conditions say more about a rider than ten attempts at one, which is the opposite of a Highlight reel from a single session.
The opening is the whole document. The strongest clip as a Hook at the front is what buys the rest of the viewing, and everything after it is already a concession.
Technical quality is read as professionalism. Shaky, dark or badly graded clips say something about the filmer regardless of the riding, so Color matching and a clean grade are part of the pitch.
What to watch out for
Padding is the most common failure. Including the sixth-best clip to reach a length tells a viewer exactly where the material ran out. Four clips is a stronger statement than nine.
Music choice can end it early. A licensed track that triggers Content ID means the reel cannot be shared on some platforms at all, which is a strange way to lose a sponsorship.
Context goes missing. A trick with no scale, no approach and no landing is unreadable to somebody who does not already know the feature, and an Establishing shot takes two seconds to include.
How RawClip handles it
An automatic highlight is built from one session, which is the opposite shape to a reel assembled from a season. The useful overlap is per session: the strongest moments from each day come back selected, and those are the clips a reel is later built from.
