DJI Osmo Action
Also known as: Osmo Action, Osmo Action camera
The DJI mounted camera family, a direct competitor to GoPro, recognisable by its dual screens and its own stabilisation naming.

What it means
The Osmo Action family is DJI long running answer to the mounted camera. Small sealed body, very wide lens, electronic stabilisation, and a front facing screen that makes aiming at yourself practical rather than speculative.
That Front screen is the feature most often cited, and it genuinely changes how people film themselves, which in turn changes what ends up on the card: more pieces to camera and fewer accidental shots of a shoulder.
Beyond the hardware the significance for editing is conventions. Naming, container choice and how motion data is written differ from GoPro, which matters to anything reading the files automatically.
How it works in practice
Working from the card rather than a phone transfer preserves the original quality, since companion application copies are frequently re-encoded on the way across.
In a mixed session the colour difference between makers is the thing to plan for. Shooting a flatter profile on both and grading afterwards gives Color matching a chance to succeed.
Thermal limits apply as they do to every camera in the class, so a long fixed recording is the case to test before relying on it rather than during the day itself. Moving air buys considerably more recording than any setting does.
What to watch out for
Proprietary stabilisation modes bake their correction into the file, which means a decision made on a mount cannot be revisited in an editor afterwards.
Mode names also differ between makers while describing similar things, so comparing a setting here with one on another brand by name alone is misleading. Two modes called wide can differ by a noticeable amount of Field of view (FOV).
The front screen encourages long pieces to camera, and those are exactly the clips where Wind noise ruins otherwise usable speech, so a microphone matters more than the screen suggests.
How RawClip handles it
Clips from any mounted camera are handled the same way, because the analysis reads what the file contains rather than which badge is on the body. A session mixing two brands is assembled with their colour differences reconciled during the cut.
